It is that time of year again, where knitting a Waterlily makes PERFECT sense. This lacy top designed by the lovely Meghan Fernandes for last spring’s Pom Pom Quarterly, Issue 8 in my Islington fingering is still one of my very favourite knits and I’ve worn it through the winter, layered over long-sleeved tops and under cardis.
It feels divine in the original Islington BFL/Silk and I have dreams of one day making a decadent one in Westminster baby Camel/Silk. Can you imagine how delicious that would feel?? And taking only 2 skeins it is totally practical, right? ;-D
See Lydia’s exquisite example in Beyul yak/silk/merino ‘yurt’ below, as well. Pefect.
I’ve just dyed up a slew more Pom green in time for Fandango on Friday and it is also in shop!
Here is a little parade of glorious Waterlily’s to inspire you – scroll over the images for details! Thanks, everyone, for such lovely photos!
Just a note that I will be putting the shop on hold from Thursday May 14th through the weekend as I’ll be at Fandango Friday and Saturday – as mentioned, many, many times in the last few weeks! So excited.
